Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (one) in SERB funded Core Research Grant Project [File Number: CRG/2020/003370]   Date: 13/12/2022

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible Indian citizens for1 (one) position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB-DST, Govt. of India sponsored CRG project titled “Investigation of the octupole excitation and E(5) symmetry breaking for nuclei in A ~ 80 region” [F ile Number: CRG/2020/003370] under the supervision of Dr. Subhendu Rajbanshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Presidency University, Kolkata.

Junior Research Fellow

Rs 31,000/- pm + HRA 24%

1st Class M.Sc in Physics with a minimum of 60.00% marks in the subject concerned + GATE / NET-JRF / Lectureship (UGC-CSIR joint test )

Desirable qualifications:

a) Previous research experience in experimental Nuclear Physics especially; on Gamma Ray Spectroscopy. Good programming skills with experience in data analysis and/or simulations are essential.

b) Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Tenure of project: The position is for a fixed-term period of one year and extendable up to 31 th January 2024. Appointment will be subjected to annual review for further extension that will be granted based on the research progress and accomplishments. The post is purely temporary and subject to availability of annual fund.
