Applications are invited for the position of Student-Internship position under ANRF/SERB-CRG funded research project entitled Investigating role of endogenous DNA gyrase inhibitor YacG in bacterial stress response ” at the laboratory of Dr. Sugopa Sengupta, Department of Life Sciences (Molecular Biology Section), Presidency University, Kolkata.

Post: One Student-Intern

Project Duration:2 Months (8 weeks)

Fellowship: 5000/- per month

Essential Qualification:Students pursuingM.Sc. in Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Zoology with minimum 55% marks in all examinations from recognized University.

1. Shortlisted candidates invited through email, are required to bring originals and self-attested copies of their mark sheets/certificates during the offline interview tentatively scheduled on 17 ^th December, 2025 at 12 noon , along with a Government issued photo identity proof (original).

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3. No application will be considered after due date. The decision of the selection committee will be final and binding on the candidates.

4. The above position is purely temporary and is for the duration of the project only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments in this institute.
