PUMDET-2017 Counselling & Admission Guideline, PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY QUOTA

Regular students provisionally graduated from Presidency University after successful completion of their respective BA / BSc Course from Presidency University in the year 2017 are eligible for provisional admission under Presidency University Quota on respective category wise manner, subject to their successful application for PUMDET 2017 through WBJEEB. The recommendation for admission under such quota in each category is based on order of merit of the applicants in the BA / BSc Regular Examination 2017 held in May 2017. Students who have applied for &/or issued migration certificates will not be eligible for PU quota admission.

Date of Counselling : 19th July 2017 (For Subjects of Humanities)

20th July 2017 (For subjects of Sciences)

Time of Reporting : 10.30 am to 11.30 am (for both days)

( Adherence to the time schedule is mandatory and not relaxable)

Venue : Derozio Hall, PU (for both days)

Candidates who fail to submit the reporting slip by the end time of Counselling mentioned above (11.30 am) will not be considered for admission under PU Quota.

The candidates may download the Reporting Slip (available online at the University’s website) and duly fill in their personal details with a recent passport sized photograph pasted at the appropriate place in the form. The filled in Reporting Slip shall have to be submitted along with photocopies of the documents outlined below at the venue of Counselling .

Documents to carry: Candidates must carry the following original documents along with one self-attested copy of each of the following

1. Two copies of passport size colour photographs.

2. Any recognized photo identity card e.g. Aadhar card/ PAN card / Passport/ voter ID card

3. Confirmation page of PUMDET-2017

4. Admit card and rank card of PUMDET-2017 (for those who appeared at the examination).

5. Registration certificate of the University.

6. Grade cards of all semesters of UG: To avail of PU quota candidates must produce their 6th semester grade card.

Physical presence of the candidate is desirable. In case any student is out of station or indisposed, any authorised person may represent the candidate with necessary documents, fees and photographs as outlined above. The authorised person must carry a copy of his / her valid photo identity card along with the authorisation letter.

The students recommended for provisional admission under PU quota will have to submit the requisite fees online through SBI COLLECT portal. They may choose to deposit the fees either by net banking using debit / credit cards or by cash over the counter of SBI, Calcutta University Branch after generation of the e-receipt by registering online.

Admission Fees: If selected for admission, the candidate will have to deposit the following amount as provisional admission fee.

Following five affidavits on Non-judicial Stamp paper of Rs. 10 or above, duly signed by the candidate (who will be offered provisional admission) and his/her guardians will have to be submitted to the University by 31ST JULY 2017. Texts of these affidavits are provided in the admissions page of the university website.

a) DECLARATION BY THE STUDENT AGAINST RACISM

b) DECLARATION BY THE STUDENT ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT

c) DECLARATION BY PARENT/GUARDIAN AGAINST SEXUAL HARASSMENT

d) AFFIDAVIT BY THE STUDENT ON ANTI-RAGGING

e) AFFIDAVIT BY PARENT/GUARDIAN ON ANTI-RAGGING

The provisionally offered admission of the candidates will stand cancelled for those who will

a) not be regularly attending classes and not have an attendance record of 75% WITHIN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS from the commencement of classes;

b) found guilty of any breach of discipline during the abovementioned period;

c) not submit the statutory documents (declarations / affidavit) within the stipulated time.
