Applications are invited from interested candidates for thefollowingresearch staff positions (Two Research Assistants) for ICSSR Minor Research Project
“Shishu Mahal: Children’s Participation in Voice and Print 1947-1960s”.

The Research Assistants would have to work in archives and conduct interviews, transcribe interviews and collate material related to children’s participation in radio programmes and in print media in the years after Independence.

Application Procedure: Candidates should email: 1) a copy of their Curriculum Vitae including mobile number, address, details of academic qualifications, research experience etc.

2) A scanned copy of grade-sheets and certificates in one single pdf file

3) a scanned letter of recommendation from one referee

Selection Procedure: Short-listed candidates would be interviewed in person tentatively in the second week of June at Presidency University. The date and time of the interview would be sent by email.

Shortlisted candidates shall report 30 minutes before the interview. Candidates should have the hardcopy of their CV and original degrees, marksheets and recommendations with them at the interview.

Terms and Conditions

1. The above positions are fully contractual and for the duration of the project only

2. No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the interview

3. Candidate will not be entertained after the interview slot except in the case of any exigency, in which case the decision of the selection committee will be final.

4. Decision of the selection committee will be final.

5. Candidates at the time of the interview can mention the post they prefer (duration). The decision of the selection committee however would be final.

6. The extension of the duration (from 5-9 months for post number 1, and from 1 to 5 months for post number 2) will depend on the requirements of the project and the availability of funds.
