The position is available for one year/ termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The position may be extended for another two months. Appointment will be subjected to midterm review for continuation and extension, which will be granted based on the research progress and accomplishments. The post is purely temporary and subject to the availability of funds.

Essential Qualification

(i) M.Sc. in Geology, Applied Geology or related disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidate should have studied chemistry as a subject at the undergraduate level.

(ii) Qualified in NET (LS) or GATE

Desired Qualification

(i) Knowledge in organic geochemical extraction and analysis.

(ii) Sample preparation for CHNS analysis.
