The position is purely temporary, subject to availability of fund and available for three years/ termination of the project, whichever is earlier. Appointment will be subjected to annual review for further extension that will be granted based on the research progress and accomplishments.

‘Studies on butterfly diversity and abundance in Southern West Bengal covering lateritic belt, lower gangetic plain and coastal and mangrove region with emphasis on ecological and biochemical interactions’

Fellowship

For First Two years:

Rs 16,000 per month + 15% HRA + Rs 300 M.A. = Rs. 18,700 per month

On the third year, fellowship of a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) would be @ 18000 per month + 15% HRA + rs. 300 M.A. = Rs. 21000 per month.

Essential Qualification

M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences/ Zoology or any allied subject from a recognized University (NET qualification is desirable but not essential). Candidates having proven track record of field experience in related studies and experience in handling of butterflies/ insects would be given preference.
