Applications are invited for a position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the CSIR (Govt. of India) sponsored project under the guidance of Dr. Sanghamitra Dey (Principal Investigator), Department of Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata.

Project Title: “Molecular Mechanisms of mitochondrial NAD ⁺ dependent rice deacetylase, OsSRT2 activity under pathogenic conditions”

Fellowship:

Rs. 31,000 per month for first and second year and 35,000 per month for the third year on upgradation. Appointment will be subjected to annual review for further extension that will be granted based on the research progress. The post is purely temporary and subject to availability of fund.

Essential Qualification:The candidate must have good academic record with at least 55% marks in Masters degree in any branch of Life Science from recognized University and have qualified NET LS/GATE test.

Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Molecular biology, Protein Biochemistry, chemistry knowledge and computational skill is a plus.

Age limit: As per CSIR rules

No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The original certificates including NET and mark sheets are to be presented before the Selection Committee on the day of interview (17 ^th Aug, 2023).
