Advertisement for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a NCAOR/MoES Funded project

Applications are invited on plain paper from the eligible candidates with detailed Curriculum Vitae supported by self-attested photocopies of certificates for one post of JRF, on a purely temporary basis, in National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR)/ Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India sponsored 22 months Project titled 'Marine biogeochemical response to Neogene and Quaternary climate: organic geochemical study of Bengal Fan sediments from lODP Expedition 354' at the Department of Geology, Presidency University. The post is purely temporary and is for the duration of the project only (22 months). The selection will be made as per MoEs and Presidency University guidelines.

Qualifications:

(i) M.Sc. in Geology, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines with minimum of 55% marks.

(ii) Qualified in NET/GATE

Candidates having research experience in geochemical extraction of sediments/rocks are desirable.

Stipend :

Rs 25000/- plus HRA per month (as per MoES norms)
