Tender Notice for disposal of Old Answer Scripts and other Junk Papers

Name of the Job:

Disposal of Old Answer Scripts and other Junk Papers on “As is Where is” basis.

Specific Conditions of Job:

1. All the materials have to be cleared from the university on the own cost of the selected party within 5 days of issuance of the work order.

2. An amount of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) as EMD has to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Presidency University payable at Kolkata by the selected party to the university during collection of work order.

3. The entire value of the old answer scripts and other junk papers must be paid in advance to the University along with the Tax Collected at Source (TCS) at the rate applicable under the Income Tax Act, 1961.

4. The sale value of the Old Answer Scripts and other Junk Papers and TCS is to be paid in advance by Demand Draft in favour of Presidency University payable at Kolkata.

5. The answer scripts are required to be pulped immediately after the purchase and the certificate from the Paper Mill in this respect has to be produced to the university against which the Security Deposit as mentioned above will be released.

6. The old answer scripts and other junk papers can't be used for any other purpose. For any sort of unauthorised use of the same the selected party will be legally liable.

7. Once the possession of materials is handed over to the successful bidder, the materials/items shall be stored at the risk and cost of the successful bidder.

8. The successful bidder shall have to lift the items in totality at his/her own expenses and responsibility. The possession of materials shall be handed over by the University Authority to the bidder or to his/her authorized representative, who shall produce original Money receipt or Payment Clearance Certificate issued from the Office of the Finance Officer, Presidency University for the payment made by the bidder, at the premises where the materials are stored. All liabilities of the University towards the said material shall cease as soon as the material is handed over to the successful bidder.

General Conditions:

a) The interested parties are required to deposit the tender forms along with relevant papers (mentioned in the form) in sealed cover addressed to the Finance Officer, Presidency University, 86/1 College Street, Kolkata – 700 073 and drop the same in the Tender Box kept at the Purchase Cell of the University, Ground Floor of the Main Building.

b) The university reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without showing any reason.

c) Tender fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) has to be deposited along with the tender papers by Demand Draft in favour of Presidency University payable at Kolkata.

d) The last date of receiving of tender paper in the Office of the Finance Officer is 04-03-2016 before 12.00 noon. The tender form will be opened on 04-03-2016 at 2.30 pm.

e) Incomplete tender shall be summarily rejected.

f) All legal disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Calcutta High Court.
