Debarshi Guin
Assistant Professor

About-
Being a Geographer and specialized in urban studies, I am interested in understanding the complex ways through which urban space as an active agent structures social actions and is simultaneously shaped by those social actions. My specific areas of research interest include urban governance, urban housing, urban labour market, dynamics of small towns and rural transformation. Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral research from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and it focuses on the issues of housing tenure, mobility and livelihoods of the urban poor in Delhi.
