Anirban Chatterjee
Assistant Professor
About-
I am a sedimentary geochemist. I try to decode the sedimentary archives for constructing the palaeo-drainage patterns, paleo-climate, palaeo-geography, provenance quantification. etc. For this purpose I use different geochemical and isotopic tracers. My other research interest are in the field of geoarchaeology, where I try to interprete the human-nature interaction in the past and how different landscapes helped in the development of pre-historic settlemnets. Recently I am working on the Holocene landscape evolution of the North-western India with special focus to continental sediments and its relation to the evolution of Harappan civilisation.
