About-
I am an Assistant Professor, currently teaching courses on Early Social Formations in the Ancient and Medieval World and Political Processes in Ancient India. While my primary academic interest lies in Modern and Contemporary History, I have embraced the responsibility of teaching Ancient History as part of my professional duties.

I began pursuing my PhD at Presidency University, in the very department where I now teach. However, due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, I had to discontinue my doctoral studies.
Biography+
Qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2014 and the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2015.
In 2017, was selected as an Assistant Professor of History by the West Bengal College Service Commission and taught in a substantive post at Rani Birla Girls' College, Kolkata.
In 2018, joined Presidency University, Kolkata.

I teach courses on the Ancient World and have also had the opportunity to explore the History of Everyday Life with my students. Over the past year, I’ve been teaching this course to undergraduate first-year students. I teach Political Processes in Ancient India as part of the postgraduate curriculum, delving into the complexities of governance, power dynamics, and societal structures in ancient times.

I have had the privilege of supervising students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I always encourage them to take ownership of their learning and emphasize the importance of engaging deeply with primary sources.
