I started to teach Sociology as a guest lecturer in St. Joseph'sCollege, Darjeeling in 2013. After qualifying through the West Bengal College Service Commission, i got appointed as an assistant professor in Mahishdal Raj College, Purba Medinipur in 2016. 

I am interested in the Eastern Himalayan region, the different kind of changes that have taken place over the years. The kinds of relationshiips that governed the states, people, economy and culture in these regions. Borderland studies allows us an insight into "shaking off the iron grip of the nation state", thus giving us a framework that transcends the contemporary cartographic practices. With a thrust on understanding the historical process, my research interests dwells on unraveling the cartographic practices.

Worked as a guest lecturer in the department of sociology at St.Josephs College, Darjeeling. (2012-2014).

Was appointed as an assistant professor at Mahishadal Raj College, Purba Medinipur. (5.12.2018-1.4.2018).

I supervise dissertations of both the Undergraduate and Post graduate students in various different topics of their interest. I also offer sessional courses to the students, where the issues raised for discussion, review and analysis are different from the ones taught at the core courses. These issues, allow the students to move towards unfamiliar grounds, where learning becomes a discovery.
