I pride in my upbringing by a set of extremely dedicated and very good teachers at my School, Nava Nalanda High School. They have influenced my life and have very subtly instilled within me a crave to be a teacher-mentor like them.

Passing out from School, and then Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, I graduated with Geology Honours from Presidency College, thereafter PhD from University of Calcutta. Presently I am in service since 1998. Even now I get enthused by my childhood teachers and try to emulate them in upbringing my students.

I specialise in Structural geology, but I do take courses in Mathematical Geology, Geostatistics, Remote Sensing and Geomorphology. My present obsession is to unravel the morphotectonic histories of planet Earth's siblings, mostly Mars.

I have had some administrative experiences in my service life, and that has enriched my understanding of the processess and philosophy of Higher educational pedagogy. I beleive in the strictness of discipline and encourage my students to be honest in thei approach.

My Doctoral study was in Structural Geology entitled "Structural Geometry and Strain Pattern in the Rocks of the Delhi Fold Belt in an area near Bar, Pali District, Central Rajasthan",

I joined West Bengal education Service in 1998. I was posted in Durgapur Goverment College. I got transferred to Presidency Colle in 2005. I was Selected in Presidency University in 2013. I held the position of the Controller of Examinations (PU) from Novemebr 2014 till December 2019.

I have mentored Several Post graduate MAsters dissertation and one PhD student so far. Presently there are two more students, registered for PhD under my supervision.

My Future Objective is to participate in Academic Administration alongwith Teaching-Learning process

I also carried out one Consultancy Project, given to us by ONGC.

As an additional skill set I have knowledge on:
