Biography+
I was born in Kolkata. After schooling from Pratt Memorial School, I pursued graduation in Political Science from Presidency College. The academic milieu and excellent teaching in the department deepened my interest in the discipline alongwith helping me in securing first division marks. This led me to pursue Masters in Political Science from the University of Calcutta, where I was graded first in Class- I in both M.A. Part- I and Part- II examination. Then, I went directly into teaching and my first academic position was in T.H.K. Jain College (affiliated to the University of Calcutta), where I served as a full-time faculty member as well as the Head of the Department of Political Science. My next academic position in a substantive post was in Chakdaha College (affiliated to the University of Kalyani). Thereafter, I joined Presidency University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science.

Administrative Experience:
- Former Programme Officer, NSS Unit-I, Presidency University.
- Served as the Head of the Department of Political Science, T.H.K.Jain College.
- Acted as Exam Coordinator for various internal examinations and Convenor of seminars,invited lectures and cultural programmes in previous institutions.
