Dr. Debajyoti Konar, currently serving Presidency University for last 12 years as Registrar for last 10 years, prior to that 2 years as Controller of Examinations .
Dr. Konar has experience in serving universities & HEIs for last 24 years in teaching, examination administration of university and and general administration of university. He also served in the field of Software Development for 3 years in GoI organization.
Dr. Konar, a researcher in the filed of Information Security, has done his UG, PG and Ph. D. from Jadavpur University.
During his teaching career he participated in conferences and collaboration meet at different national and international institutions.
He has contributed in different universities, national institutions and Government as members in different administrative/consultative committee .

I, Debajyoti Konar, Ph.D. from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. I am currently working as the Registrar of Presidency University, Kolkata, India with previous experience in teaching, ICT industry and academic administration in Institute of Engineering & Management, Saltlake, Kolkata; RCC Calcutta and West Bengal University of Technology respectively. I’m in a process to develop world class University Management System which will be able to cope-up with the global changes and accept the challenges of Next-Gen standards of Higher Education.
During my teaching assignment my administrative exposures also include major role in implementing Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (a nationwide World Bank Project) . I Visited National University of Singapore to establish collaboration with School of Computing of NUS .
Major area of my research interest is Information Security. I have 11 notable international publications. I participated in 8 international conference/seminars. I’m also interested in the field of Mathematical Modeling, Secured Information Processing in E-governance. Effort for Collaborative Research with other International Institute is one of the major agenda in my future research activities.
My primary research area is 'Information Security' and also includes the field of Mathematical Modeling, Secured Information Processing in E-governance.
I have already completed Research Project (as co-investigator) on “ Development of Web-service based Security Management Framework for Critical Sector Information Infrastructure Protection”, funded by DIT, Govt. of India, Value of project 1.26 Cr. with Professor Chandan Mazumdar, Jadavpur University (as P.I.)
I have 11 international publications . I have participated in 8 international Conferences/Seminars/Workshops.
Effort for Collaborative Research with other International Institute is one of the major agenda in my future research activities.
