I did my undergraduate studies at St. Xavier's College and postgraduate studies at RKM Vidyamandira. I did my Ph.D. from ISI, Kolkata where I worked on some aspects of geometric group theory under the spervision of Prof. Mahan Mj (TIFR, Mumbai).

I am interested in various aspects of geometry and topology. More specific interests are in geometric group theory, which studies the interplay between algebraic properties of a finitely generated infinite group and geometric (also topological and analytical) properties of the spaces on which it acts.

One can associate interesting topological spaces called boundaries at infinity, to such groups. In my thesis I have studied problems concerning one such space called Floyd boundary and its relation to a class of infinite groups called relatively hyperbolic groups.
