Antara Ray
Assistant Professor
About-
As a sociologist I am particularly interested in the area of Caste, Dalit Studies and Issues of marginalization. My doctoral work is focussed on caste in everyday life where I tried to understand "Does caste matter in the contemporary social world?" Contemporary social issues have always intruigued me especially issues on marginalization and inequality. Being a sociologist I always try to look beyond the mundane social world and critically focus on the issues of social stratification specifically with regard to Indian society.
