Immanuel Kant's Philosophy: Celebrating 300 years of Kant
21st and 22 nd March 2025
Venue: A K Basak Auditorium, Ground Floor, Main Building
Immanuel Kant (1724–1804) stands as one of the most influential figures in Western philosophy. His ideas have shaped critical debates in epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, aesthetics, and political theory. Kant’s philosophical works, in his Critique of Pure Reason, restructured the way we think about knowledge, reality, and human perception. His contributions to modern thought are vast, and his ideas continue to inspire, challenge, and stimulate philosophical discourse even today. The proposed National Seminar on Kant’s Philosophy aims to engage scholars, researchers, and students in a comprehensive dialogue on the lasting relevance of Kant’s ideas. The seminar seeks to address Immanuel Kant’s critical philosophy, its impact on contemporary thought, and its application in pressing philosophical questions in the modern world. This National Seminar on Kant’s Philosophy will serve as a platform for comprehensive and reflective approach of understanding stating the all-time importance of Kant’s ideas. Kant’s ideas, with their focus on the nature of knowledge, morality, freedom, and beauty, continue to shape contemporary philosophical debates and offer solutions to modern dilemmas.
We invite all scholars and enthusiasts to join us in this intellectual endeavor to celebrate and critically examine the profound legacy of Immanuel Kant.
