Admission Notification for Ph.D. Programme

Applications are invited online from UGC – CSIR NET / UGC NET and NET – LS qualified candidates for the admission to the Ph.D. Programme of Presidency University in various departments for the session 2017-2018. The last date of application is 30th June, 2017. Interested candidates are instructed to visit the official website www.presiuniv.ac.in for details.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D program shall have a Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.

A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B as per UGC guide lines.

All eligible candidates will have to mandatorily appear in the interview / test, conducted by the respective Departmental Ph.D. Committee of the University. The candidates will be expected to discuss their research interests in the interview. The final list of selected candidates (with their areas of research interest(s)) will be published in the official website of the University.

Candidates selected for the Ph.D. Programme will be initially offered provisional admission till they complete all necessary formalities and submit the non-refundable enrolment fees and necessary documents, as applicable.
