
“Frontier in Chemistry: Fundamentals to Applications – 2025” (FCFA-2025)
OBJECTIVE
The Department of Chemistry at Presidency University will host a three-day International Conference "Frontiers in Chemistry: Fundamentals to Applications" from September 12 to September 14, 2025. The conference aims to promote interaction and idea sharing among renowned chemists from India and across the globe. It will cover various aspects of chemical sciences, including research that crosses different fields. This event is part of our effort to inspire young minds and support a knowledge-based curriculum for the benefit of society. The conference will include a series of lectures along with oral and poster presentations.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We invite participants to submit original research papers on the topics mentioned above for oral and poster presentations. Please send an electronic copy of your abstract, which is limited to 200 words, as a Word document (template found on conference website). This should be uploaded along with your registration form by the deadline of August 25th, 2025. The abstract must include the title, the names of the author(s), their affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author. Please underline the name of the presenting author. Also, make sure that the poster size does not exceed 3 feet by 4 feet.
REGISTRATION
To register, you must complete your payment through the online portal and follow the given instructions. Keep a digital copy of your payment receipt, as you will need to upload it during registration. Make sure to have this receipt ready before you begin filling out the registration form. It is required for your registration to be successful. If you do not provide the receipt, it could lead to delays or problems with your registration status. |

ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
The Chemistry Department of Presidency University (formerly Presidency College) has its roots in 1874. There have been many distinguished figures associated with the department, both as students and faculty including Sir Alexander Pedler, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, Upendranath Brahmachari, Priyada Ranjan Ray, Pulin Behari Sarkar, and Jogendra Chandra Bardhan, among many others. Today the Department is thriving with 17 permanent faculty members in separate areas of chemistry providing unique innovative research while also teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
